Robert Higgins Jr. guest stars on Channel 5's Urban Outlook
NOVEMBER 12, 2024
I was honored to sit with April Eaton today to discuss trends in Nashville tourism on Urban Outlook.
As a Nashville-based African American entrepreneur of nearly 20 years and a member of Metro Nashville’s Convention and Commission Board, part of my mission is to drive diverse tourism in Nashville.
While nearly 17 million people visited our great city last year, less than 12% of those visitors were Black. Music City is made up of a rich and diverse culture but our tourism numbers don’t reflect that.
Stay tuned for my episode on Urban Outlook to learn about what can be done to bring more diverse tourism to the Metro Nashville area!
Supper Club on Belcourt launches brand new menu
NOVEMBER 1, 2024
Supper Club on Belcourt just announced the launch of a new menu to celebrate its first anniversary in Nashville’s historic Hillsboro Village neighborhood. The new menu is currently available and features traditional Southern dishes and contemporary comfort foods implemented by Supper Club’s culinary director, Chef Brandon Truesdale. Brand new menu items include catfish and spaghetti, steak diane, lasagna and honey hot wings.
“We are extremely proud of this new menu,” says Chef Brandon Truesdale. “Many of our new offerings are inspired by my upbringing, traditional Southern delicacies and feedback from customers. Our new menu is more expansive and accommodates different dietary restrictions. While our previous menu proved to be exceptionally popular, our mission at Supper Club is to provide the ultimate dining experience which sometimes requires creativity and change. We’re excited for recurring customers and new guests to stop by and enjoy our latest dishes.”
Supper Club on Belcourt officially opened in the Hillsboro Village neighborhood on October 29, 2023 and neighbors its sister restaurants Sunset on Belcourt and Bungalow 10. The restaurant is highly regarded for its picturesque ambiance, craft cocktails and premier brunch and dinner offerings. The updated menu includes some of the restaurant's previous offerings and new dishes.
“We are honored to celebrate Supper Club’s first anniversary,” says Robert Higgins Jr., Co-owner of Supper Club on Belcourt. “Brandon Truesdale is a visionary chef and he’s devoted a great deal of time to transforming Supper Club’s menu. While we are immensely grateful for the success we’ve seen in Supper Club’s first year, we want to remain dynamic and fresh for long-time customers and new visitors. We are confident that the implementation of this new menu will offer everyone who visits Supper Club a dish they will absolutely love.”
Supper Club on Belcourt is located at 2000 Belcourt Avenue and is open 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Supper Club on Belcourt celebrates one-year anniversary
October 29, 2024
I am extremely humbled to be celebrating Supper Club on Belcourt’s one-year anniversary this week! The overwhelming amount of love and support the Nashville community and visitors have shown Supper Club never fails to amaze me.
For more than 20 years, I’ve been passionate about curating unique dining and entertainment spaces for the community to enjoy. I’m blessed beyond measure to work in an industry I love. Special thanks to everyone who has ever dined at, celebrated or posted about Supper Club! The success we’ve experienced the past year would not be possible without the support of our community.
For Supper Club’s one-year anniversary, we were honored to collaborate with Rolled 4 Ever Ice Cream here in Nashville to create a specially crafted celebratory dessert! The “butter cake by the pound” treat is available at Supper Club and Rolled 4 Ever until November 1, 2024. If you haven’t already, stop by and treat yourself! You won’t regret it.
Minerva Ave. celebrates six-year anniversary
October 1, 2024
This week were are proud to celebrate the six-year anniversary of Minerva Ave. Six years ago, we took over a small building but had a grand vision for what this small space could be.
Back then, this space was an 1,100 sq ft building. Today, this space serves as a 3,500 sq ft indoor/outdoor lounge offering great food, music, shisha and cocktails.
When we first embarked on the journey to open Minerva Ave, it felt like a huge gamble. Six years ago, the nightlife scene in Nashville was much different than it is today. But thanks to the calculated risks we took and the amazing Nashville community we serve, Minerva Ave has successfully kept its doors open for six years.
I am extremely proud, grateful and honored to celebrate six years of Minerva Ave.
